In the mid-1980's, research and development of an electronic ionization system began. LiquiTech perfected and patented a process that releases a potent ionized biocide into liquids. The process is effective against bacteria including, but not limited to Legionella, Listeria, E. Coli, Pseudomonas, M. Avium, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, Anthrax and many forms of algae while having relatively no impact on humans or the environment. In 1989, the first hospital electronic liquid disinfection system was installed and continues to be effective today.
